Welcome to Tatami Judo!
Sensei Basil Smith has been teaching the art of Judo to children from the ages of 3 and up since 2000.
He currently instructs at 10 different schools including St Davids, Beaulieu Nursery, Beaulieu Preparatory, Bryneven Primary, Bryanston Primary, Steyn City, Bryanston foundation phase, Dainfern, Reddam Helderfontein, Heronbridge and boasts over 300 students.
Judo is a sport ideal for both boys and girls of all ages.The art enhances the body’s core stability and strength.
Footwork and co-ordination are further improved complementing the training necessary for other sporting activities.
In addition to physical fitness, Judo is set to boost overall confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline
